The Rabbit Who Lost Her Temper

In a meadow full of clover, there lived a little rabbit named Pip. Pip loved to build things — towers of pebbles, forts made of twigs, bridges made of bark for the ants to cross.

One sunny afternoon, Pip spent all day building the tallest pebble tower the meadow had ever seen. Just as she placed the very last stone on top, her friend Ollie the fox came bounding through the grass, chasing a butterfly, and — crash! — the whole tower tumbled down.

"OLLIE!" Pip shouted. "You ruined it! I worked on that all day! I don't want to be your friend anymore!"

Ollie's ears drooped. "I'm so sorry, Pip. I didn't see it. I was just having fun and I wasn't looking where I was going."

But Pip was too upset to listen. She stomped off to sit under her favorite oak tree, arms crossed, feeling angrier and angrier the more she thought about it.

As she sat there, she noticed a bird building a nest nearby. A gust of wind blew a twig right out of the bird's beak. The bird didn't get angry — she simply picked up another twig and kept building.

"Doesn't that bother you?" Pip asked.

"Oh, it happens all the time," said the bird. "If I got upset every time the wind moved something, I'd never finish my nest — and I'd be too grumpy to enjoy building it anyway."

Pip thought about that for a long time. She thought about how sad Ollie's ears had looked. She thought about how much fun she and Ollie usually had together — racing through the clover, sharing berries, telling silly jokes.

She realized something important: her tower could be rebuilt. But if she stayed angry, she might lose something much harder to rebuild — her friendship with Ollie.

Pip hopped over to where Ollie was sitting alone by the stream, looking gloomy.

"Ollie," she said softly, "I'm sorry I yelled at you. Accidents happen, and I know you didn't mean it."

Ollie's face lit up. "Really? I felt terrible all afternoon."

"Really," said Pip. "Will you help me build the tower again? It'll be even better with two of us."

"Absolutely!" said Ollie, hopping up so fast he nearly tripped over his own tail. "And this time, I'll look where I'm running!"

Together, they gathered pebbles and stacked them one by one, laughing as they went. The new tower wasn't quite as tall as before — but it was sturdier, and somehow, it felt even more special, because they had built it together.

That evening, as the sun set pink and gold over the meadow, Pip realized something. Forgiveness didn't mean pretending the tower hadn't been knocked down. It meant choosing her friend over her frustration.

And kindness, she learned, was choosing to help someone up — even after they'd knocked you down.

The Rainbow Garden

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a group of flowers of different colors. There were red roses, yellow sunflowers, bluebells, and purple violets. Each flower was beautiful in its own way, but they often argued about who was the most beautiful.
